This is a great sauce to use for marinade, stir fry, or dipping. The family loves when I make this sauce because of the great flavor and versatility.

- 1 cup rice vinegar
- 1 cup cane sugar*
- 2 TBSP hot chili flakes
- 1/2 TBSP ground ginger
- 1/2 TBSP garlic powder
- 2 TBSP tomato paste
- 1 TBSP fish sauce
- 2 tsp corn starch
- salt to taste
Directions
Add water, vinegar, and sugar in a small sauce pot over medium heat and stir. Let mixture come to a rolling boil and then remove from heat.
Next, add chili flakes, ginger, and garlic powder and whisk thoroughly. Add tomato paste, fish sauce corn starch with a bit of water add so starch will not clump. Give mixture another thorough whisk and serve immediately or cool and store in the fridge until ready to use.
