My children love to help in the kitchen and cook up wonderful goodies. It’s especially fun when we’re making desserts! We did this sometime last year but i’m just now writing it out and uploading it. This is a really quick cookie recipe that makes a few dozen small cookies or about a dozen large ones. I love it because it’s quick and i can whip up a batch of cookies in no time.
I got this recipe from a cook book i picked up at Barnes and Noble called Frame by Frame Baking.
Ingredients
1 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
½ cup butter, softened
½ cup organic dark brown sugar
½ cup organic cane sugar
½ tsp vanilla extract
1 egg, beaten
¾ cup organic dark chocolate chips
Directions
Preheat oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In large bowl cream butter and both sugars until well blended. Add beaten egg and vanilla extract and mix well. In small bowl mix dry ingredients together. Next, add dry ingredients to wet butter mix and stir until completely incorporated. Add chocolate chips to mix.
On baking sheet, place well-rounded spoonful of cookie dough. Be sure to leave enough space between each cookie so that they don’t stick together. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. Place on a wire rack and let cool. Eat and then enjoy!
